* From the moment Daniel was born, he was a social, independent little boy. He loves people and is very happy to go and stay with other people without Mummy or Daddy being there. He gets excited if he gets to stay over at either his Granny's, Aunts or Granddads and often tries to invite himself around to their houses. He is very social and loves chatting to people about his day and will go into great detail about what he has been doing or asks if people are going to take him places.
* Abigael on the other hand is the opposite. She was doing well until Daniel went into the hospital last year and since then she has been a cling-on to Mummy. She could not go without me and therefore was not able to even sit with anybody without screaming. One time she went and stayed with my Dad and Jennifer and screamed for 2 hours straight - she got so upset that her whole face was swollen. In saying that, the past month there has been a major difference in Abigael. She is alot calmer and is happy to sit with other people and even stay with them (as long as I am not in the room or she can not hear me). She now loves the fact that Luke carries her and is very happy to hug and play with him. She is slowly getting used to the rest of the family and does not spend the whole time they are around clinging to my shoulder.
* Daniel a very good big brother. He has loved Abigael from the moment she arrived at the house. He is very calm with her and even if she is trying to break or steal his toys he will not hit her or hurt her in any way even if he is very frustrated with her. He will try and move her hand out the way or just come and get me to deal with her. He loves making her laugh.
*Abigael loves her brother and she thinks that he is very funny however she is also started to show her temper towards him which is going to cause problems in the future. She will no longer let Daniel take toys from her and she normally wants to play with the toys he has. She has an amazing little scream she uses when Daniel is trying to take a toy from her or she wants the toy he has. In fact today was the first day that she hit him with a book she was reading because he was trying to look at it with her. I told her to stop and she let out her little scream. She does love watching Daniel playing and really loves it when he plays peek-a-boo with her.
*Daniel is a very independent boy. He is very happy to play by himself. He loves his cars and can spend hours lining them all up and driving them around the 'road'. He can become very frustrated if the cars do not do what he needs them to do however he is learning that normally Mummy or Daddy can solve the problem if he asks. He is a very polite boy and knows that he should be using 'please' and 'thank you', he has also started saying sorry to Abigael if he hurts for by mistake.
*Abigael also enjoys playing by herself and she also thinks that she should be independent and therefore does not like Mummy trying to do things for her. She is very cute with it though and I love watching her brush her own hair or smear food all over her face.
Another few little things
*Abigael loves satsumas and bananas however Daniel does not like either.
*If we eat Spaghetti Bolognese, Daniel will eat the bolognese only and Abigael the spaghetti only.
*Daniel has very straight hair where as Abigael has a wave in her hair.
*Daniel is a Daddy's boy and Abigael is a complete Mummy's girl.
*Although Abigael is not walking yet, she is very coordinated with her hands, where as Daniel was walking at 10 months however he is not that coordinated with his hands.
*Daniel will laugh at everything and anything where as you really have to work hard to get Abigael to laugh (unless Daniel is in the room).
